The VDA 4994 Global Transport Label (GTL) is a further development, and thus a direct successor, to the very widespread VDA 4902 label. This label is also used to identify transport units in the movement of goods between automotive suppliers and automotive manufacturers. The VDA 4994 label is available in various sizes and formats.
With the portal my-VDA-Label.de GLT labels according to VDA 4994 standard can be generated easily with a few clicks. Below you will find a short description of the Pro version of the software. The software runs completely in the browser and is therefore available on any device with access to the Internet. PDF files are generated for printing the GLT labels.

There are four master data functions for maintaining part master data, consignor and consignee data and package information. If only one data record is entered in a master data function, it is automatically selected in the print function. This reduces the effort required to generate a VDA GLT label by one selection.
All data required for the label can be entered and saved in the Parts master data. The batch can be preset via the master data. There is also the option of having the production date, best-before date or shipping date calculated automatically. The corresponding number of days can be set in the master data.
The sender master data contains only a few pieces of information. Only the supplier number and the address data of the sender can be entered here.
In the receiver data, in addition to the address data of the receiver, the information on the unloading point and the routing are also available as inputs. Different locations can also be entered here if a delivery is made to different plants.
In the packaging master data, a description (for better selection) and the weight are entered in addition to the printing packaging code. The weight is used for the automatic weight calculation.
In the print function, the four master data described above are selected. All data from the master data are displayed and can be changed if necessary before printing. Additional data such as quantity, batch, delivery note number can also be entered. There is also the possibility to assign package numbers. In addition, different languages for the label and different formats and sizes of the VDA 4994 GLT label can be selected.
Benefits of the Pro version with selection from the master data are, in addition to saving time, a reduced error rate compared to the complete input of data in the Free version. In addition, the Pro version has an archive from which the generated PDF files can be called up again. This can help with error analyses, for example.
